  • Gamma Pi Sigma receives several rewards at the 2015 State Conference

    The Gamma Pi Sigma chapter received several awards at the 2015 Georgia State Conference in Valdosta. The chapter was noted for its outstanding work in the community and accomplishments by its members. The Bigger and Better Business on the state and region were given to the Gamma Pi Sigma chapter recognizing its Getting Smart with Credit, First Time HomeBuyers' workshop, and Sigma Quarterly Business Blitz. The Gamma Pi Sigma chapter also received the best chapter report award. Associate members of the Mercer University also received an award for the work done on the campus of Mercer University. Cory Zeller, a Mercer University associate member, received the Leonard F. Morse Leadership Award for his service and academic work in the classroom. Current Vice President and  a former State Director, Gregory Brown was nominated as a 2015 Candidate for the Outstanding Sigma of the Southern Region.

  • Brown Becomes Outstanding Sigma Of The Southern Region

    Bro. Gregory Brown has inducted into the Outstanding Sigma of the Southern Region. During the 2015 Georgia State Conference last March in Valdosta, Brown was selected to be the nominee from the state of Georgia. 

  • NPHC of Macon - Middle Georgia Reactivated

    After a long hiatus, the Macon-Middle Georgia Council of the National Panhellenic Council has been reactivated. The council made it official on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at the St. Paul AME Church in east Macon. The council will include chapters of Alpha Phi Alpha, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Omega Psi Phi, Delta Sigma Theta, Phi Beta Sigma, and Zeta Phi Beta in the Central Georgia. Sekema Harris Harmon will serve as the President of the council.

  • Gamma Pi Sigma named Small Chapter of the Year at 2016 State Conference

    The Gamma Pi Sigma chapter received the 2015 Small Chapter of the Year at the 2016 Joint State Conference in Augusta, Georgia. The chapter was recognized for its service programs and chapter operations. Several key programs include the  Street Clean Up and Clothing the G.A.P.

  • PSA Screenings Done in Record Numbers

    Phi Beta Sigma's Initiative of Living Well Brother - to - Brother emphasizes health of its members through proper dieting and exercise and regular checkups with your doctor. The Gamma Pi Sigma chapter took the initiative to host PSA Screenings at the 20th Annual Pan African Festival in Macon, Georgia. The program, done in collaboration with the Navicent Health Center and American Cancer Society, test men as early as 40 years of age to detect if they may have signs of prostate center. A record number of 21 men participated in the event.

  • 2016 Georgia State Leadership Conference is the Most Attended Leadership Conference

    The 2016 Georgia State Leadership Conference was the most attended state leadership conference in the state of Georgia. The two day event, hosted by the Gamma Pi Sigma and Gamma Iota Gamma chapters at Wesleyan College was attended by over 190 brothers. A general session was presented by Men's Wearhouse along with several breakout sessions which included Sigma terminology, Sigma Image and perception, and risk management. Notable guests for the conference were Bro. Ray Smith, past Southern Region Director and past International Director of Collegiate Affairs, Jean LaMothe, International Director of Education, and Daniel Smith, Southern Director of Collegiate Affairs.

  • Martin re-elected as Jones County District 4 commissioner

    In November's general election, Bro. Daylon Martin was re-lelected as commission for District 4 in Jones County. The incumbent Martin edged candidate Alton West with 53% of the vote. Martin who also is re-activating charter member of the Gamma Pi Sigma Chapter is a 1993 initiate of the Zeta Lambda chapter at the University of Connecticut.
